Got bored one day so here we have a five track 18 minute mix of some top draw intelligent drum and bass mixed with some harder DnB. A bit rough, but who's complaining!
Tracklist: 1.Apex - By The Way 2.Sub Focus - Join The Dots 3.Wickaman & Hoodlum - Stomper 4.The Brookes Brothers - Mistakes 5.Apex - The Yearning
A drive by of useless websites that make me laugh:
1) This site delivers awesome but at the same time ridiculous quotes that are thrown at DJs every night. canyouplaythatonesong.com
2) "decontextualized video comments become modern pieces of poetry" In other words, quotes off the internet that are funny/sick/weird/interesting. thatwasepic.com
"Hidetext.net lets you convert text to an image. This means you can hide passwords, personal messages, pieces of code, or any kind of private information on forums, blogposts, emails, irc, msn-aim chats,.... The created image can be linked to, or you can download the image and delete it directly from the server"
I found it useful for posting my email on here as the robots scan these places for emails.
In addition, I should mention that some of his tracks are harder, darker and dirtier using tough bass lines that resonate and snares that slap you across your face.
‘Go Ask Alice’ is a perfect example of this. Samples from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas bring a dark edge to the track.
Dubstep stomper Mt. Eden is a new artist on the scene from New Zealand. I've just caught on to his name from another blog and thought i'd spread the love and post a track here aswell.
This track is seriously dirty so be turn the bass riiiiight on up!
The cooler than cool Dub Pistols are here again with a new easy listening summer chill track that's been on repeat all day. It's off their new album titled Rum & Coke.
I love how the video uses the warmth of the orange glow to create that summer feel including lots of colour and contrast in the edit. Great slow motion camera work and thrown focuses to create a laid back mood that suits the music perfectly.
